About the Ninja Legion

The Ninja Legion (TNL) began originally as The Anime Radio Show (TARS) back in 2006 as part of a college radio station. The station could broadcast into the Tristate area and began with General Neko Oni, Takeshi, and K. About a year later (2007) Takeshi and K left for personal reasons. The General then brought on a few guest cohosts and they filtered through until eventually Sciguy came around. After Sciguy (and about 8 months later) came Lady Une who was originally a listener of the show. On January 22 2008 the three of us decided to stop broadcasting for multiple personal reasons. Sciguy then split away from TARS to persue his own goals. In 2009 work began on trying to make TNL a online broadcast. CecilBlade had actually helped TARS with alot of its music and audio problems behind the scenes so he was invited to come on as a host permanently. Also we had brought on Spider for his musical knowledge and for his journalist abilities. Needless to say, the online broadcast did not work out for technical reasons. Now however, we have started podcasting and streaming from our site and have begun again our talks, rants, and shinanigans of the Japanese anime, music, and convention world.

Q:     "What is the Ninja Legion" "How did it get started?" "The 2nd Ninja Legion?"

A:     The Ninja Legion is a group of four people who decided to dedicate themselves to the knowledge of Japanese Anime and Culture. It started back in 2005 under the title of "The Anime Radio Show", and was run by Neko, K, and Takeshi . Both K and Takeshi left the show and it left Neko alone running the Legion for awhile. Then along came Sciguy and Une. After about a year Sciguy left and now after a year of preperations and getting things together Une and Neko have come with their two friends Spider and CecilBlade.

Q:     Do all of you hang out often when the show isn't on air?

A:     Both Spider and Cecil have very demanding work schedules and the only time we all really hang out as a group happens to be at conventions and far inbetween random gatherings, with the exception of weekly shows. However, The General and Lady Une hang out faily often together, and enjoy simlar events and had become very close friends though the old show. However, when we all hang out together, it truly is the best of times had.

Q:     What is the idea behind the show?

A:     To talk about Anime, Jpop and Jrock, video games, and anything else that comes to our minds.

Q:     Who thought up the idea of The Ninja Legion?

A:     The Ninja Legion was a branch off idea from The Anime Radio Show. TARS storyline took place in the "Legion" halls and Neko decided to just work off of that.

Q:     What's your most "epic" adventure together as a Legion?

A:     Probablly Sakura Matsuri in 2008 was our best adventure.

Q:     How did all of you meet?

A:     Neko and Spider have known each other for about eight years at a local gaming stores. Next was CecilBlade who we met around four years ago and that was at a battle of the bands event. Then came Lady Une who came along two years ago, after punching her radio and it tuning to play The Anime Radio Show, she listened for about at year. Then during Katsucon 07, The Anime Radio Show was having a meet up, and had finally met The General in real life.
